A 30-year-old man has been left fighting for his life following a serious crash at the weekend.
Around 10.40pm on Saturday, February 17, a Bentley Continental GT car was travelling eastbound on the A725 East Kilbride Expressway when it appeared to lose control and struck the concrete barrier.
Emergency services attended and the 30-year-old driver of the car was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital where his condition has been described as critical.
The 26-year-old female passenger was also taken to hospital and released following treatment.
Sergeant Elaine Scott said: “I am appealing for anyone who may have seen the collision, who has yet to speak to us, to please get in touch.
"We are piecing together the circumstances of how the crash occurred and information is vital in assisting us to do that.
"I would also ask anyone with dash cam equipment to check their footage.”
Anyone with information is asked to call Police Scotland via 101, quoting incident number 3844 of February 17, 2024.
