A NEW pub is set to open in the city centre.

Taking over the former Roberta's restaurant unit after its shock closure, Hope & Vincent will be opening later this month on October 30.

Described as "an entirely new level of seriously stylish socialising", the new outlet will have live music and show sports.

Located in a landmark former banking building on St Vincent Street, Hope & Vincent has space for up to 100 punters.

Renderings of the venue reveal a classic pub-themed interior with a modern twist featuring a warm palette with natural wooden features.

Glasgow Times:

The pub will have a private theatre room kitted out with a 65-inch screen that will be available to book for private events.

Sports fans will be able to catch live games in the outlet's multiple sporting booths – each with its own channel – which can be booked in advance by small groups.

Friends will be able to meet up and enjoy big events from premiership football and F1 to rugby internationals and more.

The facility also has 10 huge screens strategically placed throughout the room, including an 8ft projector, guaranteeing that regulars won't miss a bit of the action.

Pool tables will also be dotted around the venue.

Stuart Kilpatrick, general manager of the new bar, said: "Located in the centre of Glasgow, Hope & Vincent is bringing a whole new level of seriously stylish socialising, mid-week laid-back vibes and let-loose weekend action.

"Hope & Vincent will offer punters a unique experience combining the thrill of watching live sports with proper food, real ales, our signature cocktails and a wide selection of spirits and wines."

Glasgow Times:

The main room can seat up to 80 people and features a sleek new menu with a wide selection of beverages and food options, including a bottomless brunch experience, a lunch menu, a Sunday roast menu and a selection of pizzas and hearty bar favourites.
