Script guitarist Mark Sheehan has died at the age of 46.
It is believed that Sheehan, who formed the band alongside frontman Danny O’Donoghue and drummer Glen Power, died in hospital today following a brief illness.
The Irish pop band took to Twitter to announce the sad news.
The wrote: "Much loved husband, father, brother, band mate and friend Mark Sheehan passed away today in hospital after a brief illness.
"The family and group ask fans to respect their privacy at this tragic time."

The group have played the city's OVO Hydro numerous times.
