A POPULAR city boozer has announced when it will re-open its doors after being forced to close due to the Victoria's Nightclub fire.

Lauder's Bar, which is situated on Sauchiehall Street next to the Pavillion Theatre, have displayed posters on their windows advising customers they will reopen in November.

The pub, which is owned by the same team behind The Horseshoe Bar and the Auctioneers in the city, has been closed since March when the fire happened.

At the height of the blaze, more than 120 firefighters and 20 fire engines were mobilised to the city centre to fight the fire.

A cordon was set up following the fire after the council said the building which housed Victoria's Nightclub was unsafe and would have to be pulled down by its owners.

The cordon has since been removed and businesses have been returning to normality with fast food giants McDonald's and discount store Savers among those to resume trading.

We previously reported that some of Lauder's bar staff had been working from sister pub The Royal Scot on Union Street.
