COPS discovered cannabis worth £16,500 when they stopped a vehicle on the M74.
The car was stopped on Tuesday, June 19 on the M74 near Lesmahagow and cops recovered the drugs.
A 40 year-old man was arrested in connection with the recovery and is due to appear at Lanark Sheriff Court.

Drug raids were also carried out in Bellshill on Thursday, June 14. Cannabis, Cocaine and Diazepam with an estimated street value of £3,500 was recovered. A conductive energy device was also recovered. Two men aged 40 and 65 years were arrested in connection with the recovery. The 40-year-old man was due to appear at Hamilton Sheriff Court and both are subject of a report to the Procurator Fiscal.
Officers searched an address in Bellshill and recovered a five figure sum of cash on Friday, June 15. Cops said enquiries are continuing in relation to this.
