A SMASH on the M8 near Glasgow Airport and flooding caused rush hour delays and long tailbacks.
The accident happened on the eastbound carriageway at junction 28 shortly before 6.36am this morning.
Meanwhile, delays of up to eight miles were being reported on the westbound route due to heavy flooding with tailbacks from Charing Cross back to Ballieston.

Traffic Scotland announced that the two lanes which had been closed were reopened at 7.36am.
Drivers were still urged to use caution in the area.
