COATBRIDGE internet sensation Denise Ferrie surprised a groom on his stag do by jumping on board the party’s Bonkers bus and belting out the hit song that made her famous.

Denise first became a well-known face in March after the Evening Times was first to report on a video that appeared online showing her singing her uniquely Scottish version of Millie Small’s 1965 hit “My Boy Lollipop” at a graveside in Coatbridge.

Weeks later, it seems the internet cannot get enough of her.

Denise shared the video of her stag do appearance on her new, official Facebook page on Saturday. In less than a week, it’s had close to 225,000 views.

It shows her climbing abroad to the song before she belts it out, much to the groom’s delight.

The groom’s best man Jamie Crozier, from Motherwell, described how he “wanted something funny” for his pal.

He said: “We were going into Glasgow to the Grand Ole Opry and made a pit stop at the Showcase Cinema. We were winding the groom up, saying, ‘What do you think we are here for?’ I don’t think he was ever expecting it.”

“It got everybody in the mood for a great night. As soon as the song came on, the stag realised what was happening. She was a really nice person as well. We all jumped off the bus when she finished to get a few pictures,” he added, reports the Daily Record.
