A second woman has been charged in connection with the death of a man in Castlemilk.

Police Scotland have confirmed that a 33-year-old woman has now been charged after the body of Haider Hayat was discovered at a flat in Raithburn Road on April 3.

The 49-year-old was discovered dead inside the address where a disturbance took place around 4.40am.

Two people have already appeared in court charged with allegedly murdering the 49-year-old by hitting him with a hammer and knife.

It was previously reported that eight children and two women were taken to hospital following the incident.

They were all taken to the the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital after the incident and later released.

Another woman, also 33, was also arrested and charged and appeared in court on Monday.

She made no plea and was remanded in custody by sheriff Barry Divers and will appear next week for a full committal hearing.

Muhammed Rauf, 41, has also appeared in court charged with allegedly murdering a man with a hammer and knife.

The second woman charged is due to appear in court today.
