MORE than 7,000 people got on their bike for the country’s biggest cycling event.
Riders set off from Glasgow Green to take part in the Pedal for Scotland route to Scotland’s capital city.
Transport Minister, Humza Yousaf MSP, was at the start line with Peter Martin and Alan Rough - aka Peter and Roughie - entertainment presenter Laura Boyd and radio DJ Robin Galloway.
Now in its 19th year, the event attracts thousands of people who pedal from Glasgow Green to the Royal Highland Centre in Edinburgh.
Many participants were raising money for children and young people affected by poverty
